Participation is open to anyone.
Question an assumption. Point out something we’ve missed. Offer evidence. Suggest a different approach. Share knowledge or experience. Or simply ask a question.
Agreement with the Human Party, its Charter, or any proposal is not required.
Good ideas can come from anywhere, and good criticism can reveal things we haven’t considered. Participate is a way for people to contribute to the development and improvement of Human Party proposals, research, and public work.

Support it, support it with changes, disagree with it, identify a problem, point out an unintended consequence, question an assumption, or suggest another approach. You can respond to a proposal as a whole or to a particular part of it.

Research, fact-checking, editing, data analysis, legal and economic research, accessibility, technology, design, proofreading, document production, discussion facilitation, and records organization can all contribute to better work.
This is for policy development, research, publication, discussion, technical, and organizational work. It is not a campaign-volunteer or candidate-support program.

Ask about the Human Charter, a proposal, supporting research, how something works, or something we haven’t explained clearly enough. Questions also help us discover where additional explanation may be useful.

Contributions are considered for their substance, not according to whether they agree with an existing Human Party position.
A large number of people expressing the same view may tell us that an issue deserves attention, but popularity alone does not determine whether a proposal changes. Likewise, one person may identify evidence, a contradiction, an unintended consequence, or a better approach that warrants reconsideration.
Nothing submitted through Participate is treated as rejected. Information may result in additional research, referral to another area of work, future review, partial incorporation, incorporation into a proposal, or no change to the current proposal.
When information contributes to a revision, the resulting change and the information supporting it become part of the proposal’s Revision History and archival record where appropriate. There is no submission tracker or individual status system. The published proposal and its revision history are the public record of change.
Participation informs the work. It does not substitute for evidence, analysis, or judgment.
Supporting Your Contribution
You do not need to provide supporting material to participate. If you have research or other material that may help us evaluate what you submit, you may provide a public URL or citation/reference.
For privacy and security reasons, Participate does not currently accept file uploads or attachments.
Personal experience does not require a citation to be worth hearing.
Participate Without Becoming a Profile
You may participate anonymously unless the interaction you request requires us to contact you.
We do not require your identity merely to respond to a proposal, submit an idea, or contribute information that does not require a personal response. When the interaction itself requires contact, such as asking a question, joining a discussion, or offering to help, we ask only for the information reasonably needed for that interaction.
Personal information provided through Participate is not added to a mailing list, marketing list, supporter list, voter file, or general contact list. We do not sell, rent, trade, or provide personal information to another person or organization for their own use.
Where a service provider must process information solely to operate the website or complete an interaction you requested, that processing is limited to that purpose. When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was provided, it is deleted or de-identified, subject to limited legal, security, or technical requirements.
Candidates & Public Office
The Human Party is currently developing its policy, governance, and organizational framework. It is not presently operating a candidate nomination, endorsement, campaign-support, or electoral volunteer program.
Current candidates, prospective candidates, officeholders, or their representatives are welcome to contact us. An inquiry does not constitute Human Party endorsement, affiliation, authorization, coordination, or support.
